Magic Duels - Part 1: Building a Deck and Kicking Ass
I have been playing Magic the Gathering (or just Magic in the nerd circle) since late 1999. I was nine years old when I built my first ever deck out of my dad's cards called "Kamikaze". Let's just say it earned it's ridiculous name by "crashing and burning". That was the first step in me becoming a premier deck builder. I have built hundred of decks, utilizing all color combinations, play styles, play types, mechanic combos, and tribes.
Ever since Magic hit the digital market I have been a bit distant with it (mostly because nothing beats ripping open a tournament pack or booster!), but I am giving the digital franchise a valiant effort with the latest free to play Magic: Duels. This title is Wizards way of bringing the Magic system and community to consoles and PC. I think the free idea is great, because you still have to purchase your own cards (like in real life), but can play with hundred of people around the world. Sorry for babbling on like a ninny, but I really love Magic. Let's journey onward into the planes and scapes of the Dominarian multiverse!
