To this day, the evil within is one of the most memorable action, survival horror games I love to reflect on. It's the perfect balance of menacing, challenging, and horrifying that I believe make horror what its suppose to be.
The story has body, the gameplay is fluid allowing you to go guns a blazing or utilize your special crossbow and all of the unique bolts if has to battle enemies.
You can upgrade attributes to make your character a melee maniac, or level up your proficiency with a certain weapon. There's hidden keys that unlock goodies to help you on your journey. There's a challenge mode for people who enjoy pain lol. And the story literally keeps you guessing till the end.
this game is literally the goat IMO. It set a standard we need to reflect on moving forward with horror games of the future. But then again. Kojima is working on OD which COULD change the game in horror moving forward. We shall see. ....
