I love me a good floating island. Give me a fantasy setting and put some floating islands and you've got me hook, line, and sinker. So I done made myself one with a little waterfall trickery.

You can find the materials to make these online at various shops (I use greenstuffworld.com for a lot of my sculpting materials, hobbies.co.uk for various tools and materials, and odds and ends from ebay, amazon, or the local shops). While there are lots of random little pieces, the main "ingredients" are:


High density foam
Perspex
2 Part Epoxy Resin
Mod Podge (gloss for waves/water and matte for sticking scenery)
MDF (for the base)
Foam flock/shrubbery/etc

Natural materials (rocks, dirt, sand, etc) from wherever you can find them!
