Making of THE CUBE (Planet Nomads oh016)
0The project of the CUBE: To build a very compact machines block - the whole content of a fully equipped advanced base, completely connected and having access to a lot of small containers - equalling at least the storing capacity of one big container - and pack all that into a space not bigger than a base foundation and not higher than a room. The only item that was to be left out was the big glasshouse because it is too bulky.
Technical data of the finished CUBE:
1 Uranium-Generator, 1 Medium FAD, 2 3D-Printers, 1 Refinery, 1 Medium Armory, 1 Medium Medbay, 1 Stasis, 1 Conveyor, 2 Switchboards, 1 Terminal, 1 Solar Beacon, only 3 (!) Blocks, some X-Conveyors used for connection only where it was unavoidable and the rest filled with 69 connected Small Containers. There is ONE single hole besides the Stasis (I could have put a block there too but that side was already getting very heavy with a lot of containers ...)
Approximated weight of the complete CUBE is 21200-22000.
Material: 182 Frames, 176 Plates, 42 Mechanical Parts,15 Composite Parts, 15 Electronic Parts, 1 Glass, 5 Reinforced Frames, 7 Plating MK2, 14 SC Electronic Parts, 2 Composite MK2.
