I was VERY impatient playing video games growing up. I kind of wanted to get past the main menus of games and get straight into the story. But the thing that would often stop me in my tracks is video game music. I very vividly recall the experience of hearing To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X for the first time, composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu. His incredibly memorable and lyrical style of composing has inspired my own music composing a lot.
