This is a MAME work in progress video for MAME 0.163.

Andrew Gardner and Couriersud have been working on emulation of the discrete components of the Kid Niki / Horizon audio board used on IREM's M62 platform. The analog circuits are used to generate the drum sounds in the music which up until now were missing in MAME.

Note, this isn't perfect yet, there's some popping and cracking, and it also means that the CPU requirements are much higher - the game now maxes out at around 200% on a 4ghz i7 processor. Before the discrete sound it ran at 4500% on the same setup - analog simulation is expensive folks.

I've also uploaded a video demonstrating how the same progress affects another IREM game, Horizon, it can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v717E7FVuPo
