How To Live Stream Quest 2 AND See YouTube Chat in Headset!
Meta Quest live streaming and seeing the YouTube chat in your Quest headset while you stream!
With Meta Quest, you can livestream from your headset to YouTube and see your YouTube live chats while fully immersed in VR. This feature requires casting from your headset to a desktop and using a stream companion desktop software such as OBS (Open Broadcasting Software) in order to livestream to YouTube. Keep in mind, this feature is available for public livestreams only and will not work for private or unlisted streams.
To livestream from Meta Quest to YouTube using OBS:
From your headset, press "O button" on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
Select Camera.
Select Go Live in the top right.
Select Cast to browser + YouTube chat, then select Continue.
Enter your YouTube channel handle and choose where you want your chat to appear in VR, then select Continue.
From your desktop, open a web browser and go to
www.oculus.com/casting
Launch OBS https://obsproject.com
Integrate the web browser video into OBS. This will allow OBS to capture the video feed from your Meta Quest headset.
Log in to OBS using your YouTube credentials.
Click Start Streaming in OBS to go live on YouTube.
