"Gensokyo has been a destination of choice for the mercs to go on holidays for quite some time now. I'm not sure if it's because of the similarities between Gensokyo and TF's America, but they are much more at ease there than other humans would be.

However, because of the ongoing Robot Wars, their vacation time has been drastically reduced, and they can stay for barely a day before having to head back across the barrier.

Turns out that a certain Oni decided that no matter what goes on in the outside world, the mercs deserved some overtime to rest and get drunk. So she provided them with an unending supply of sake, a very strong japanese alchohol.

Suika's plan worked so well that even Reimu, the shrine maiden, didn't seem to mind the presence of the mercs by the pond behind the shrine. At least she wouldn't run out of sake either thanks to them.

By the power of the booze, the mercs managed to stay in Gensokyo past Christmas, and all the way to the New Year's Eve. At which point Saxton Hale himself decided to get into business and bring them back to defend his hat and weapon facilities.

Not that the mercs weren't aware that this was a fatality, in fact they were preparing for that day. They could indefinitely extend their vacations if they could beat Hale, so they mastered the art of fighting while drunk.

When Saxton Hale arrived, Reimu judged that she'd prefer enjoying booze at the Scarlet Devil Mansion rather than staying near her shrine and getting involved into the battle between the mercs and Hale, given that she had no advantages to support one party or the other, and that she cannot oppose both at once.

Thus, when Saxton Hale comes, the Hakurei Shrine becomes a battlefield that cannot be influenced by any external factor, such as magic. And the only Gensokyo denizen who stays on these grounds is Hieda no Akyuu. She, who permanently records everything that she sees. Maybe Akyuu actually enjoys watching these fights?"

Anyway, this is the result of not sleeping for over 30 hours. You make silly videos and write over the top descriptions. Heck I didn't even have such a detailed script when I made the video... I still hope that you enjoyed it (the video, not the story, though if you enjoyed that story, I might want to stay awake for extended periods of time more often.
