8Mario is still missing, but not for much longer! The difficulty spike really starts to show in this world. But we've come too far to go back now! I wonder if there's a secret world in this game just like Star Road from Super Mario World? If there is, Weegee will find it!

The spin jump is a technique that is often neglected by many streamers and traditional Super Nintendo players, but I can't stress enough how useful it can be to negate damage that Mario or Luigi would normally take from spiky, fiery, and certain ghost enemies. I am not sure if the same rules for spin jumping apply in the vanilla version as they do in this romhack, but I don't think you were ever able to spin jump on a boo before, but you can in this version of the game.
Interestingly, the spin jump does NOT work on bosses. You can see me spin jump on Ludwig a few times near the end but he didn't take damage until I did a normal jump. The lore behind the spin jump is bizarre but I guess it is the Mario world so we shouldn't really expect normal physics to apply. Still, it's an under-used mechanic and I hope to have more opportunities to employ it in the last 3 worlds of the game. See you next time! -speaks incoherent Italian plumber babble-
