Mario Kart: Double Dash Steam Controller Raw Gameplay Demo (Dolphin 5.0)
12I was really excited for Dolphin's latest release and wanted to do a video on it, so without further ado, enjoy footage of me playing Mario Kart: Double Dash with motion controlled steering! :D More Dolphin SC demos coming soon!
Config explanation:
To explain why I don't touch the buttons at all while playing, I've got gyro always enabled and most of the relevant buttons are bound to the triggers, right bumper, and grips. It makes the game pretty intuitive, but I've only just started playing with this config, so as you see, I chose easy to compensate for my lack of practice and getting the configuration just right on the steering. It's interesting how steering with the Steam Controller works, it depends entirely on the type of game because a game like this needs a much smaller range of motion than something like Grid 2. I was trying on 100cc before this run and was getting 4th on average, so I wasn't quite getting first. I'll be making a few more demo videos with other Gamecube and Wii games before I come out with my definitive dolphin config video, so stay tuned for all that! :D
