Mario Kart Wii Custom Track Review: Sandcastle Park
Hello guys this is Sandcastle Park.
Details:
'Creator: SpyKid
Designer: SpyKid
Version: v1.1
Difficulty: ?/10'
Custom Mario Kart's Overview: 'Sandcastle Park is a custom track set on a beach with sandcastles and has several Thwomps, crabs and oil slicks to possibly mess up racers.
SpyKid started modelling it in May 2011, but it wasn't until October 2011 that the model was finally completed. At this point in time, the creator had no idea how to work with the CT tools, so he asked people on YouTube for help. wiimaster35000vr decided to help out with this track, he made the KCL and KMP. SpyKid then improved the model a little bit, and by December 2011 this course finally got released. Later LuigiM added animations for it.
A model of Sandcastle Park with pyramids and an underwater cave section has been done in 2012, but it was scrapped. Later SpyKid wanted to remake this course. He tried it with the 3D editor Blender, but he didn't like the result. Finally, the next update was released in March 2014, based on the old course model.
The model of this track also has been used as custom stage in other games:
Sandcastle Run, a F-Zero X track based on the original model, by Scye.
Sandcastle Park port to Mario Kart 7 by MKGirlism.'

The track is made by SpyKid, wiimaster35000vr and LuigiM. It has a fire and sandcastle theme. The track is complete with working minimap, intro and CPU AI. The track is simple to understand because it is straight forward. There are wooden boxes, Thwomps, Sidesteppers and oil spills. The background is blue with clouds. Overall this is a great track.
