I now know I have lived my life looking back at Mario Party on the N64 with rose-tinted glasses. This seems to be a recurring theme when going back to the fifth generation, more specifically, the Nintendo 64. I remember these games fondly, especially Mario Party. I remember days on the playground, weekends at a friend's house, or over lunch at school, we would all be talking non-stop about this game.
It became a staple for three years, it was almost like COD, NHL, NFL, NBA, etc. It was pumped out yearly, and by the third, I was personally burnt out. But again, I look back at the first with such a fond love, I think somewhere along the lines I just let the nostalgia blind me.
I was never good at this game, it's a board game, I suck at board games. I would say it's genetics, but I rolled a natural 1 when it came to luck during my creation. So in this stream, you will watch me get extremely upset with my CPU opponents. You will see my highs, my lows, and ultimately why I will probably never come back to Mario Party unless it is with friends.
