This is a mash of some of the most iconic themes from across the Super Mario franchise. From the original Super Mario Bros theme on the NES, to Super Mario Odyssey on the Switch, I wanted to pit some of the greatest tracks from the Classic (mainly 2D) and Modern (3D/2.5D) eras of Mario against each other in rising dramatic fashion. You be the judge if I succeeded. And which Era/Theme Reigns supreme?

===========(The Details)===========

This medley was a long time coming, and I'm pretty happy with the end result. I'd like to think of this as an impromptu 15k sub special. It's been some time since I had to worked this hard for a cover/video. I tried to make it something special and funnily enough, actually cut out about 2 minutes from the original medley to help improve the flow (There’s also a few Easter eggs sprinkled about). I may record an extended version later (no promises).

Also full disclosure, I forgot what chord to play at one point and had to edit in the audio from a different take. These Mario tunes are tricky. Sharp-eyed viewers should spot it no problem. Also Special thanks to かてぃん / Hayato.S whose sheets of Jump Up Super Star made arranging my version, much faster.

A special note should be made to honor the great stride/jazz pianist Tom Brier, whose amazing improvisation of the Ending Theme to Super Mario World, inspired the entire last section of this medley. Tom can no longer play due to a severe car accident and is currently struggling to recover.
