Bowser Jr. may have been driven from DK Jungle, but there is still unfinished business to tend to. Kritters are still all over the jungle and are protecting some kind of treasure. Mario and the gang must drive the remaining Kritters out and find their leader, King K. Rool. Meanwhile, Bowser Jr. has made his way into Wario City to cause more mischief just as a layer of fog has rolling into the city. Navigating through the city will be a pain, but they gang must stop Bowser Jr. from taking over another ballpark.
