Time for another Mario remake on the Nintendo Switch, and this game is a remake on Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, which released on the Game Boy Advance in 2004. This game is a successor to Donkey Kong for the Game Boy, and in this game, Donkey Kong steals the Mini-Mario toys from the toy factory, and Mario goes after him to try and get the toys back.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Here is Mario Vs. Donkey Kong, the original game released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance, and if you are wondering if I have played any games from the Mario Vs. Donkey Kong series, I have played the original game, which was one of 10 GBA games that released on the 3DS Virtual Console, and I have not completed that. At the start of the game, Donkey Kong is watching TV, and they show an advert for the Mini-Mario toys, only to find they are sold out, Donkey Kong goes to the Mario Toy Company and steals the toys, and when Mario finds him, he chases after him.
The first world is Mario Toy Company, and the first course is a tutorial course that shows the basics of the game, like the Color Switches which activate Color Blocks that match the switch, for example, a Red Switch activates Red Blocks, while the Blue Blocks disappear until a Blue Switch is pressed, and this even activates ladders and other things. You have to grab a key and get to the door using the spring, and then the second course, each level has two courses, and you can use Trash Cans to defeat Shy Guys, and at the end is a Mini-Mario inside a crystal ball, which you grab to complete the level.
1-2 introduces the hammer, which has been around since the classic Donkey Kong arcade game, and there is a Help Box that gives you hints on what to do. The hammer is used to defeat enemies, including Oil cans which are obstacle that have been around since Donkey Kong on the Game Boy, and the second course has Fireballs, which can be defeated with the hammer.
1-3 has wires which you can swing on to jump higher to collect presents, there are three presents in each course, and some of them are found above spikes, you have to throw a Shy Guy onto them and use it as a platform to get to the present.
1-4 introduces conveyor belts, which you can make use of in the course, including with the key when you move to the second course, you can throw the key onto the conveyor belt, and crouch down to get through. You can find Wire Traps, those were in the Donkey Kong Game Boy games, and the wires are what lead to the Mini-Mario.
1-5 has Springboards, and there is a Hint Box that teaches you how to throw upward, and you make use of the Color Switches to get the key to the door. Then you learn about Jump and Throw, and make use of the hammer to get past the Shy Guys.
1-6 makes use of the handstand, which you can use to gain extra height when you jump, and when doing the handstand, Mario is protected from falling bricks from the Brickman, and then you learn about the Backflip, which can be used to access higher places, or the Handstand Double Jump can help out as well. Every five courses, you can do a Bonus Course, this gives you a good amount of 1-Up Mushrooms, and in those courses, you have to grab the key and open a chest, those replace the Bonus Present minigames, but it does re-use the music that plays for that.
Next is the Mini-Mario course, where at the start, we see some Toads carrying a toy box. This level has you lead the Mini-Mario toys to the Letter Blocks, which they can pick up, and as they can't jump as high as Mario, you will have to guide them to the springs to get them to higher platforms, and lead them to the toy box to complete the level, this one is really easy.
After that is the battle with Donkey Kong, the Mini-Mario toys collected give Mario extra hit points, and in this fight, Donkey Kong presses the switches to change the platforms, as well as the Trash Cans, what you have to do is grab a Trash Can and throw it at Donkey Kong four times, and during the fight, he can pull the lever to cause debris to fall, and you don't lose a hit point if hit while carrying a Trash Can.
After the fight, Donkey Kong escapes, and we unlock Donkey Kong Jungle, which is the second world in the game.
