So sometime between my last recording back at the beginning of October and today, an english translation patch was released for this game. Renamed my save file to be compatible with the English game on Vizzed, it actually worked. The rest of this game should be understandable finally. XD
Quick Picross was something I was not expecting at all. You basically have a time limit to solve a bunch of puzzles in quick succession. Each puzzle is a letter in a clue that you have to solve, and solving it adds it to the solution. If these were translated from Japanese to English, then I'm impressed at their work, and should make solving these easier (if I knew what the answer actually was). Would easily explain why it took "a short 15 years" according to the hack description.
Also, sorry for the short video, I got called away to dinner mid-recording and I don't feel like combining videos right now.
