Marrok is BACK Again in Tales of the Empire
282Many eagle eyed viewers noticed two very interesting inclusion in the new trailer for Tales of the Empire. The new series was recently announced with a brand new trailer and will debut all episodes on May 4th, and while the footage includes many different familiar characters, including the Grand Inquisitor, General Grievous, Thrawn, and Darth Vader, two lesser known characters are briefly included from two different Ahsoka stories; the unnamed inquisitor from Tales of the Jedi episode 6, who confronts Ahsoka in hiding on Raada, and the Inquisitor Marrok, who was introduced in the Ahsoka series working for Morgan Elsbeth here. Both characters have the opportunity to be fleshed out in greater depth in these episodes, but what’s interesting here is that Ahsoka was involved in both characters’ demises. While not necessary, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities for Ahsoka to appear in one of the Barriss episodes, given her close relationship with her former Jedi friend. Based on the Nightsister magic that released from Marrok when he was cut down, I’d say it’s also a possibility that we see him killed in this series and then later brought back from the dead by Elsbeth using Nightsister magic.
