We saw some crazy subwoofers at CEDIA, and we'll be showing some of them off in a photo gallery later this week, but there was one subwoofer in particular that got us particularly excited: the Martin Logan BalancedForce 212.

Martin Logan outfitted its display unit with a clear plexiglass plate so we could see inside and gaze at it's robust woofers and massive power supply. The model we check out in this video (the 212) uses opposing 12-inch drivers; the 210 is just a tad smaller and uses 10-inch drivers.

As a first for Martin Logan, the BalancedForce series can be updated with customized filters in order to help it achieve the perfect blend with a wide range of speakers. Expect to pay about $4,000 for the 12-inch model, or $3,000 for the 10-inch version.
