Marvel Avengers Alliance Redux-First look at the Unity build of MAAR
140Greetings all! I am proud to present to you, the first look available for the Unity build of MAAR.
As you may know from a recent video, Goofy shifted gears into building MAAR via Unity instead of the now defunct Flash. With Flash having depreciated years ago and with the rumors that even MAA was considering a move to HTML 5 before dying, it seemed only a matter of time before a change would happen. Since moving over to Unity, Goofy has become reinvigorated in working on MAAR and people with almost no coding experience have been able to chip in. Having support at the functional code level of MAAR is beyond useful for the speed of development and also prevents Goofy burn out. He can easily delegate tasks and others can help him accomplish it.
In this video you will see the first Unity build of MAAR. This is a major step towards releasing beta 4 publicly. There is no ETA yet but the future is far brighter than it has been most of the summer. I spend some time comparing the Unity build to beta 2 and even MAA towards the end of the video.
