170Marvel Legends 20th anniversary Toad thoughts. This action figure is part of the tribute to Toy Biz Marvel Legends Series 1 that began with Captain America with the holes in his shield and the Iron Man figure that didn't represent Steve Ditko's Proto Classic (Horned Iron Man) art accurately. This Toad is a mostly new sculpt with recycled arms, which you can make out by the pins. There's an additional head accessory that has a lashing tongue effect that looks pretty cool, depicting Toad's modern powers. Additionally he comes with two toads as a reference to the original Toy Biz release. This figure comes with the same sort of bases that were included with the other 20th anniversary releases, a background evocative of the original Toy Biz figure's base and comic, but pretty bare bones on the stand. Another set of hands are included, so overall it's an okay package but not outstanding. There's some things going for this figure, but the price tag is too high; it's $34 now, more than Captain America and Iron Man though less than Hulk, but we're now in Diamond Select territory, and for the price, it might be worth looking into those. Is it worth the price? I don't think so, but you might feel differently. Pre-orders are now available, will ship approximately December 1, 2022. 12/1/2022.
