Marvel Legends X-Man Sugar Man Wave review. X-Men Age of Apocalypse build-a-figure BAF Wave released in 2020. This line of comic book based action figures include Wild Child, Morph, X-Man Nate Grey, Jean Grey, Sunfire, Weapon X, Dark Beast, and Sugar Man, an interesting range of heroes and villains. This entire wave is based on the Age of Apocalypse storyline from the mid-90s by many writers including Scott Lobdell, Mark Waid, Fabian Nicieza, John Francis Moore, Larry Hama, Warren Ellis, Jeph Loeb, Howard Mackie, and Terry Kavanagh.

This is one of my favorites from this wave. And you notice immediately on his torso that there is so much that is good here. The head sculpt right off is knocked out of the park. That head sculpt is amazing. And that little glowing effect that's coming from his eye. Oh, that is so nice. It's really well done. And it's a perfect head sculpt for a single head scope for this action figure. And when you get down to his upper body, the jacket and his torso, they look pretty good. You see lots of nice texture across the shirt he's wearing and you see the little bits of detail from the comics where he's got that little collar around his shirt. It's kind of puffed up and it's a sculptural element too. It's not just painted on. It does have paint on it, the yellow paint, but fortunately it's sculpted on and it really works. And whenever they do that, it always adds so much. The little jacket on him. It has a lot of texture on it too. Lots of folds and there's some nice yellow piping around the edges and it's even got little bits of texture you can feel on there. I mean, that really brings this action figure home and the sleeves feel really good too. Again, lots of folds and it feels pretty wrinkly, but also it feels pretty accurate to what we see from the comics, because whenever we see X-Man, Nate Gray going around, he's always got his jacket all up in a bunch. And once you get down to his sleeves, it does have some yellow frill at the bottom there and it looks really good. And he's got those yellow straps on them and even their sculptural elements, even when you get down to his hips right at the front, you can see some sculpted on elements below the belt. And it again looks amazing when they do that. The belt is something I didn't really recognize from the comics and I don't know where they're taking this bill from. I'm not too familiar with it because all the images I've seen of Nate Gray have had a different kind of belt design, one that almost looks like Batman's utility belt. The real trouble with Nate Gray comes when they get down to his legs because they did all this nice stuff on his upper body. It looks so good. But then you get to the legs and they just threw on Bucky cap. marvel legends sugar man, marvel legends sugar man baf, marvel legends age of apocalypse wave 1, marvel legends collection, marvel legends x-men age of apocalypse, marvel legends age of apocalypse wave, marvel legends figure review, marvel legends review, marvel legends sugar man wave, action figure review, marvel legends action figure review, action figure review marvel, marvel legends sugarman wave

Nate Grey travels between dimensions armed with astonishing psychic powers.
