Often I wonder if anyone cares, if I wake up or not
Wish I was certain but how can I be? When my friends play pretend...
People say "you'll be found", well it's been countless years now and I still have no clue where the hell I belong, I'm a freak and my mask will just keep falling off.
Too bad, I'll never be invited to the masquerade
I'd rather stay always true to myself, even if it means that
I'll curse myself to a 1-player quest I've gotten used to it now...
Look at me, I'm okay! 'I don't need others' or that's what I tell to myself…
But I can't fight the fight on my own, my light is wearing off
That was my everyday life 'til I found my
Plague Rats! They're not afraid of the darkness
when I'm with them I don't have to hide my scars,
because they've got their share finally have I found my friends
Plague Rats! Fragile yet fierce at the same time
when I'm with them I know I can fall apart,
for I know they'll catch me just like I'd be there for them should they fall,
even if we all end up on the floor
I know that we'll get back up, so long as we remain close.
How bad I wish you were here to quiet the voices I hear.
Draining my energy, drowning my confidence, making me wanna give up.
Thankfully Emilie brought together us
Plague Rats! They're not afraid of the darkness
when I'm with them I don't have to hide my scars,
because they've got their share, finally have I found my friends
Plague Rats! Fragile yet fierce at the same time
when I'm with them I know I can fall apart,
though I doubt that I would simply because they fill me with resolve
with their support words and asylum hugs
“Strength in numbers” never meant as much as with us plague rats.
