Left video is a Mantis X without cover penetrating effects (6 infiltrator shots needed to kill bronze Atlas - I waited too much for the 6-th shot and the atlas regenerated some shields so in the video it takes 7 shots) ...

Right video is the same character , with the same skills and the same weapon - Mantis X .. Only now he is using AP ammo lvl 1 consumable - which allows the Mantis to penetrate objects (cover and enemies) ...As such every shot fired by the mantis with AP ammo is able to hit the bronze Atlas twice and kill it in only 3 shots ...(Notice the double damage per shot in the video ..)

Weapons like Widow, Black Widow and Javelin already have cover penetrating innately so they are vastly superior vs. Atlases to the weapons that do not have this effect (AP ammo consumable or AP piercing mod) ...



This is also relevant to shotgun users Crusader has innate cover penetration, Claymore can gain cover penetration using AP ammo or Shredder mod, GPS & Graal cannot penetrate cover ..
