Commander Shepard travels to the Quarian Homeworld in order to destroy the device that's broadcasting the Reaper control signal, which turns out to be a Reaper Destroyer.

Interestingly enough, even as I played this part with full Renegade choices, I was able to intimidate the Quarians into standing down and not be destroyed by the Geth, therefore saving both races (I was not aware this was possible, from what I've read online I thought this line of gameplay meant that one would forcibly be destroyed).

It seems that the Renegade Path, even if it means loosing some military strength points in certain areas, still allows you to mass a significant force for the final assault on Earth. I'll post more on this as I advance in the game.
