Illusive Man: Shepard.

Shepard: Illusive Man. Now we know why Cerberus is here.

Illusive Man: You don't know the half of it. The Protheans left us these archives, a wealth of information. And it's been squandered.

Shepard: What do you want?

Illusive Man: What I've always wanted. The data in these artifacts holds the key to solving the Reaper threat.

Shepard: I've seen your solution. Your people have turned into monsters.

Illusive Man: Hardly. They are being improved.

Shepard: Improved?

Illusive Man: That's what separates us, Shepard. Where you see a means to destroy, I see a way to control; to dominate and harness the Reapers' power. Imagine how strong humanity would be, if WE control THEM.

Shepard: Earth is under siege and you are hatching a scheme to control the Reapers?

Illusive Man: You seems surprised. My goal has always been, and will always be, to use whatever means I have at my disposal to protect humanity.

Shepard: The Reapers are not our means to an end.

Illusive Man: Not to you. This isn't your fight any longer, Shepard. You can't defeat the Reapers, even with the Prothean data.

Shepard: I've beaten the odds before. I'll do it again.

Illusive Man: More likely, you'll just die trying. Destroying the Reapers is a wasted opportunity. We can dominate them, use their power, harness their very essence to bring humanity in the apex of evolution.

Shepard: With that data, I'll rid the galaxy of those machines, once and for all.

Illusive Man: Your vision is pathetically limited. You are a tool, an agent with a singular purpose. And despite our differences, you were relatively successful. But like the rest of the relics in this place, your time is over.

Shepard: Enough talk. Liara...

Illusive Man: Don't interfere with my plans, Shepard. I won't warn you again.

Shepard: Go to hell.

Liara: Shepard...

Shepard: What?

Liara: The data, it's not here. It's being erased.

Illusive Man: Goodbye, Shepard.

Shepard: Damn it! how is he doing it?

Liara: Its local. Someone's uploading the information.

Woman: Hey, step away from the console...now! She's got the data. She's faster than she looks.

Shepard: Stay close, we can't loose her.

Liara: There she is.

Shepard: Stay on her.

Liara: She's getting away. Watch out. Over there. Understood. Down there.

Shephard: James you read me? Cerberus has the data. Radio the Normandy, get them down here, now.

Liara: She's getting away!

Shepard: Damn it! James, Normandy, anybody?

James: I got this one. Normandy is en route, they will be here soon.

Liara: We need the data.

Shepard: Let her go.

Dr. Eva: Orders?

Illusive Man: Finish her.

Shepard: No! Grab that thing, bring it with us.

James: Shepard, we got Reaper signatures in orbit.
