After having finished the obligatory story missions on Eos I left the first planet and chose Havarl as the second big environment to explore. I impatiently rushed through the whole terraforming questline and didn't take time to upgrade my equipment - or even assign skill points for the AI-controlled characters - which predictably resulted in a whole lot of protracted combat sequences and Game Overs (I'm playing on Hardcore difficulty, which seems like a mistake). Havarl features pretty scenery but the landscape feels cramped and the lack of proper settlement options was a letdown, so in hindsight I probably should have started with Voeld instead...
