This video demonstrates that the Crusader can be a medium range head shot machine even on a character that has no weapon bonuses whatsoever. I tried to keep most of the shots near 20 meters or so, to respond to some complaints I've read about the Crusader. I'm only an average player, so I missed a bit, and you can tell by looking closely that those misses were caused by bad aim, not Crusader bloom.

Not all the hits are head shots, but a good number of them are, even some from very long range.
