The first reel will stop on exactly what you press X on. Hitting something othe than 7 or BAR manipulates the others for an attack, but if you get 7, the next reel will also stop exactly on what you press - as you'll see in the video.
Basic idea is hone your eyes to spot the flashes of red of the 7's and ignore the rest of what you see. The two 7's on each reel are placed close so there is a shot gap and long gap between flashes - the long gap is what you want. start counting as soon as you see the first 7 enter the middle of the reel and count out how long until the next 7 passes. Get your timing down - practice using PAUSE instead of X if you like.
I did it in my head but its roughly: 4 seconds - 4 seconds - 5 seconds. But it's not your friend, you're off by 0.01 second - you're missing by 1. Good luck.
