Master of Orion 2 is a turn based 4X empire building strategy game in the style of Civilization, but in SPACE. It's another game that has been apparently impossible to reproduce, although there are many imitators. It's easy enough to get into, but has enough depth to keep you occupied for long enough to forget to eat.

It involves building and designing spaceships, researching technology, diplomacy with alien races, espionage, and all that good stuff. If you haven't played it, and like Civilization style games, consider this unmissable.

This game has kept me coming back for more again and again over the years, and so earns a place in my "Continuing Classics" series.
