As I continue to play the Master of Orion Early Access, I wanted to try challenging myself to capturing Orion very early in the game. This video is my tactical battle strategy for using a comparatively low-strength fleet to take out the high-tech, high-strength Guardian defending Orion.

The setup is this: I had 40 frigates of the following configuration:
- Tritanium Armor
- Class III Shield
- 3 x Proton Torpedoes
- 3 x Anti-Missile Rockets
- Battle Pods

To achieve this size fleet by turn 150, I founded 7 colonies, and researched only the above technologies. At turn 120 I began constructing the fleet in batches of five and was assembled by turn 140. It took nearly ten turns to get to Orion because it was on the opposite side of the galaxy.
