Claw would certainly have nailed that sliding match game in Super Mario Bros 3 if he wasn't suffering from the Hammer Brothers suit curse. That's right, the Hammer Curse ensures claw keeps getting Hammer Bros suit powerup fom the Toad Mushroom item houses.
Despite failing at the sliding match game, at least the Hammer Bros suit helps Claw murder a bunch of enemeries in the Ice World 6 Fortress 2 later. ( Spoiler alert: Claw kills some floors! )
