Welcome to the ultimate guide on how to create and manage a Mega Campaign in Paradox Games! 🎮 In this video, I show you step-by-step how to set up an extended campaign that spans several Paradox Interactive games, starting from Imperator: Rome and going all the way to Hearts of Iron 4—and potentially into Stellaris!
A Mega Campaign is a massive journey through history, where you begin your game in one era and move forward in time by converting the save file to the next Paradox game, covering centuries of gameplay. The games involved cover specific historical periods, such as:
Imperator: Rome – Antiquity
Extended Timeline Mod & The Fallen Eagle – Late Antiquity
Crusader Kings 3 – Medieval era (until 1444)
Europa Universalis 4 – Early modern period (1444 to 1837)
Victoria 3 – Industrial era (1837 to 1936)
Hearts of Iron 4 – WWII and beyond
Stellaris – Humanity’s future and space exploration
In this video, I’ll take you through the conversion process between games, and there's a detailed timelapse of my own mega campaign where you can see how the world evolves across centuries. There’s also a botched conversion in Central Asia, which I will cover in future videos.
This video took a week to make, and I’ve cut down the timelapse to be as smooth as possible at x100 speed. If you’re into long campaigns and love watching history evolve in real time, this is for you!
