Alongside the launch of Season 4, Fall Guys has introduced Creative Mode, giving players all the tools they need to create custom stages to play and share, and itβs available today!
The tools are intuitive; you donβt have to be a master architect to build a challenging and chaotic level. Simply place a starting point and a finishing line, and then fill out the course with bouncy obstacles, steep ramps, and other wacky objects for your beans to overcome.
Fall Guys (formerly known as Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout] is a free-to-play platform battle royale game developed by Mediatonic and published by Epic Games. The game involves up to 40 players who control jellybean-like characters and compete against each other in a series of randomly selected mini-games, such as obstacle courses or football. Players are eliminated as the rounds progress until, eventually, the last remaining player is crowned the winner. The game draws inspiration from game shows like Takeshi's Castle, It's a Knockout, Total Wipeout, and playground games like tag and British Bulldog.
The game was released by Devolver Digital for PlayStation 4 and Windows on 4 August 2020. Following their acquisition of Mediatonic, the publishing rights were transferred to Epic Games. Subsequently, the game was made free-to-play on 21 June 2022 and released on additional platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with full cross-platform play support among all platforms.] As part of the transition, the game adapted a seasonal battle pass system for its monetization, offering avatar customizations to players.
Season 1: Free for All added Show Bucks, a premium in game currency that can be used to purchase full costumes, premium colours, patterns, faceplates, emotes, and the current paid Season Pass. Players are only able to obtain Show Bucks through the Season Pass or by purchasing it via microtransactions.[26]
The same season added Bean Hill Zone, the first-ever limited time collaboration round with Sega.[27] The round came with a limited time event and its own show. In Season 3: Sunken Secrets the round was added to Solo Show.
Season 2: Satellite Scramble added Treat Thieves, a Halloween themed version of Sweet Thieves which had new gimmicks. The round was exclusive to a Halloween event and has yet to reappear in game.[28]
Season 3: Sunken Secrets added a vaulting system, where certain rounds will be temporarily removed to increase stability, every season rounds can be vaulted and unvaulted. It also added a Time Attack show, where players were given 5 minutes to try and speedrun one round the fastest and was given the option to retry for a better time under those 5 minutes. The show was removed in December and can only be played in Custom Lobbies.
The same season also added 2 new shows, one called 'The Vault', which features all rounds regardless of vaulted status in one show, which is only available in Custom Lobbies, and another called "Xtreme Party", which is a single player version of the show "Xtreme Fall Guys", which in both shows has the rule that if you fall off the map you are eliminated.[29]
Season 4: Creative Construction added a level editor called 'Fall Guys Creative'. Creative works similarly to Fortnite Creative, allowing users to create rounds with various obstacles and objects to your disposals. There is a budget that prevents users from adding to many objects to the round. Users can submit their rounds and can share their rounds to others via share codes. Certain shows will be made that will compile various Creative made rounds.[30][31]
