After a bit of lamentation over my lousy RNG luck (which will turn around later...in this game, anyway, it's still lousy in general), we go to take on Master Belch's factory! This can be a somewhat tricky location, because some enemies hit hard and others cause status effects. However, there are also the very grindable Foppy enemies! And a handy Magic Butterfly room, as well! All of which leads to a much easier time against Master Belch than I remembered...not that I'm complaining!
By the by, I finally figured out what Luck does! It affects the success rates of certain items, like the Rust Promoter, Insecticide Spray, Counter-PSI Unit, HP Sucker, and Shield Killer. In most cases the odds of success are Luck/80, though the Counter-PSI Unit is Luck/40 for whatever reason. It's the luck stat of the target that matters, with higher luck reducing the chance of success of those working. (It does NOT, however, affect the Lucky Sandwich - that's actually a case where the game trolls you a bit, there are actually 6 different Lucky Sandwich items, any one of which can be generated when you buy one, apparently without bias.)
