3Ah, the perils of sequence triggers. I really did think you had to go all the way to the top floor before that would happen! Ah, well, what's done is done. Sadly, this is the start of probably my least favorite part of the game. It's rough without an offensive PK specialist in the party at this point! Particularly with how HARD some of these enemies hit. And we have our first encounter with a boss that mainly uses PK abilities, which can also be quite painful at this point in the game! This is what overpowered items are for. The Pencil Rockets are actually way unbalanced, but this is one of those rare cases where yes, I really do want to get through this that quickly!
Also...despite what it looks like, this really is Everdred's last moments. He never does appear in the game again, though we'll see a figment of him later on.
