"Math of the Storm" | HoloCure 0.7 - Stage 4 Hard (Solo Weapon)
sigh this stage is something else, so it's your typical Hard version with fast and hard hitting enemies, however this time it's nighttime and stormy rain, which darkens the stage obstructing the vision, although your character and part of the stage have lights around to see a bit in the dark. Just like previous stage, this stage also has stage hazard which in form of lightnings that randomly struck on the stage thanks to it being on stormy rain, so you have to avoid it or else lose a lot of HP.
Oh, another thing that this stage has, which imo is a bit annoying, it's around 7 minutes mark, where the stage decided to throws into solving math problems and answer it by going to one of the four squares that has correct answer, if you get it right: restore some HP, got the wrong answer: loses some HP, the problem with this is that in a game where you're moving around a lot, trying to focus on don't get by enemies and suddenly the game throws you with something not related to the core gameplay, then you have to think really quickly to get the right answer while also trying to avoid fast enemies, like if you got the incorrect answer you're pretty much kinda screwed, just imagine doing this on "Hardcore" it's likely that if you got the answer incorrect it's game over. This stage is fine imo, but adding math problems as gimmick to the stage that's already frantic isn't a good way to add challenge to the game, but tbh I'm glad that this gimmick only happened once, just imagine if it's happen twice or more on a stage.
Anyway, one thing to point out is it just me or the area indicator on this 0.7 stages are more bigger than usual? because if so, they really cater these new stages specifically to utilize new "Support" (at the time I called it "chest item thing") mechanic, because the thing is if you don't have enough MovSPD to avoid those area indicators, then expect to lose some HP, especially with Pirate ship firing cannonball, Lightning storm, and Elite enemies that for some reason have really big area indicator which you try to avoid in order to not take damage.
(Look, I don't mind solving math problems into the stage, if it's some sort of an Easter Egg that you trigger in the stage and you get something out of it by solving the problems)
