Box office results for the weekend of 12.24.21
Movie going audiences decided to plug into Spider-Man and Sing 2 rather than the Matrix over the weekend. Spider-Man No way Home continues to swing its way into record books pulling in $84.5M making its overall domestic total $470M in just two weeks with an overall worldwide box office total of $1 Billion. Sing 2 serenades the rest of the field from 2nd with $22.3M. The Matrix Resurrections only mustered $12M over the weekend with a lower than expected $22.5M for it’s 5 days in release. The King’s Man debuts in 4th with $5.9M and American Dog rounds out the top 5 with $5.8M.
