My final project for Storyboarding and Animatics. 3D animations were not required, but I couldn't resist.

Everything was done in the span of just 27 days, 3D modeling and animation were done entirely in Autodesk Maya during the first 15 days, while the drawings were done in the remaining 12, as well as compositing and editing in Adobe After Effects.

I hope to take the Hammer ship and work further on it if future class projects permit me to do so. I didn't quite do as much as i wanted to with it, but its proportions are very accurate. The ship was re created by eye; simply observing every shot that featured the ship in the third film, the movie on one screen, and Maya on the other. The model's geometry comes out to almost 18,000 polygons, which is roughly the equivalent geometry budget for character models on 7th generation platforms, such as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

46 drawings were done, with a maximum time limit of 30 minutes per each. This forced me to work faster, and adapt under the strict time limit, as I typically spend 1-2 hours on pencil drawings. Overall, I'm more pleased with the 3D aspect than I am with the drawings. The first drawing of Morpheus; "Were still generating two out of field," was a bomb.

Project requirements were that we had at least 50 drawings and roughly a minute's worth of video content. Seeing that I did 2 minutes and 7 seconds of work, I'm pretty sure that makes up for the 4 drawings. There was definitely room for more though, as I had to a cut a few shots out in order to make the due date.
