Max heads F1 Canada Friday by Peter Windsor
This is a big weekend for F1 in two, very different, ways: first, it marks F1's return to Canada after a (Covid-enforced) break of two years. Second, the F1 teams are running their cars to new technical regulations - to a sudden update to the ride-height and "vertical oscillation" wordings. Such changes used to be the norm in the wild-west days of F1; in recent times, stability has been the catchword. But not now. Because of the potential, chronic back problems that some drivers fear may result from the bouncing characteristic of the 2022 cars, the FIA introduced - two days before Friday practice in Canada - a far-reaching rule revision. In this video, Peter Windsor looks back at the results on the track - and at the implications of the changes.
