i try to explain (sorry my english) how to max out the cloth with a limited use to repair the gear.

repair only if you get the max repair this means repair amount 50% so the item will after this, repaired for 99% this is the max.

Example: socks max reapair amount is 70% so repair socks at 29%. make sure that you know how to handle wolves and bears or with this low condition the socks can be in a struggle destroyed.

wear the gear only when you need to wear it. Longer travels trough colder regions, quarter without fire, go for a hunt. put the gear off, if you sleep or if you are fishing.

you can play the game with just crafted selfmade animal clothings so the cloth it is just a comfort bonus to travel faster and longer. you can also travel without clothes with more warmups by sleep 1 hour in a cave or a house. but this needs a prepaired world with food camps.

try not walk or wear clothes in a blizzard :)

running without clothes drops your condition faster but with birchbark teas you can handle this and restore the condition quick.

some caves in BI as example need for sleep some clothes and a bear bedroll is importent this are a colder region so be careful

after 1700 days i have now still 260+ cloth left and still some furniture to break down. i wasted the cloth becuase i did not know how long i would live :) and i repaired at 20% but now i change this late in the game.
