Maximizing Efficiency & Expanding Our Settlement! | Endzone 2 | Expeditions & New Tech Unlocked!
In this weeks Endzone 2 we outline a couple of changes to our first settlement which should provide the maximum efficiency bonus to our buildings. Our main aim for this weeks episode is to head out and take on some more expeditions in order to gain the knowledge we need to expand our technology through research.
We're looking to get clay pits and brick makers up and running as soon as possible so we can get some huts in our settlement. These buildings are an upgraded tent and should at least give our settlers some much needed comfort!
We learn more about expeditions and the additional tools we can bring to complete expeditions to 100% and we take some of these tools back to our settlement to be better prepared for further forays into the wasteland.
We expand the storage capacity in our first settlement in order to prepare to build on a new zone in next weeks episode, after the numerous loot runs and as our workers harvest more materials, our storage needs increase. There's also a slight bit of micromanagement to do as our scrap and wood supplies begin to dry up in our first industrial sector.
Our successes in expeditions yield enough knowledge points to begin researching clay pits, which we eventually build in a new sector of our first settlement, adding various buildings to boost the efficiency and get our first mining industry off to the best possible start. Further gains from expeditions allow us to return to previously unfinished sites to explore these areas further, using tools gathered in other buildings to get 100% completion on multiple expeditions, ensuring we maximise our knowledge gained.
We begin planning a location for a new depot on our first settlement, this will allow us to set up efficient trade routes with our new zones once more towns are established. Lastly, we set up our brickworks, which gives us a brilliant end to the episode and sets us up nicely for the hut research.
We do need to think about expanding and increasing our population, as well as pushing our research as quickly as possible, each radioactive rainfall increases the radiation level of the soil in our settlements, soon, our carbon masks won't be enough protection.
