This talk aims to show the possibilities of code reuse, based on the experience of successfully migrating the event and waveform viewer 'impulse' to Theia and VsCode while keeping the eclipse IDE as platform. The talk will show the steps of migrating from an existing set of eclipse IDE plugins to a product on the VSXOpen marketplace using abstration, partitioning (backend/frontend) and code transpilation.
