Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Wednesday slammed the BJP government for rising inflation and said that more than 81 crore poor people in the country are now dependent on free foodgrains from the government. She said that this situation was never envisioned by the freedom fighters or the architect of the Indian Constitution, B.R. Ambedkar. Mayawati also criticized the government for not doing enough to uplift the poor and marginalized communities.
