Even as I write this I can feel the surprise emanating from Gorthador Dúnadan, even after all this time he still cannot fathom my ability to write and read, does he truly think us so Barbaric? does he still see us as so much lesser than himself?
Gorthador has been with me ever since he arrived to worn us last of the -arm- no, the rabble Angmar sent against us all those years back, and still, he can't seem to comprehend that while my people may be war-loving, while we may love causing pain. Simultaneously, we might be more savage than other people, but we are still PEOPLE.
We love, sing, dance, quarrel, make friendships and make enemies, we worship Morgoth for bringing us into existence, but we would never wish his return, we are our own people, and we will not suffer slavery under a god again.
Even today he still watches my wife as if she sprang from the stone fully nude screaming "OOGA BOOGA!!" it would seem he had never even considered Uruks could be female, how did he think we breed?
Still, it is evident he means us no ill will, in fact, he tries his damndest to help us, many a time on the field have I noticed an enemy fall dead with an arrow in there head, always so near to my back, I seem to have a guardian spirit hiding in the shadows, and its name is Gorthador. Either that or he's a horrible shot.
He doesn't understand us, he still knows nothing about us, but he's taught us so much. in the cold, cold north if you didn't move you died, he's taught us how to build permanent structures, in the cold, cold north wearing metal armour is a death sentence he's taught us how to forge steel again.
He's even taught us how to farm. Though we are strictly carnivorous, we can feed our herds this way.
Gorthador Dúnadan. I will be forever thankful to you and all you have brought my people, let your name live on eternally in my family records, so the thanks we owe your people will never be forgotten, in these torn and dusted pages I write my story as my ancestors did before me from the day we fled north til now when I pass my son will write his story in this book to and so our story will live for eternity. Now we have the ability to make copies and spread them throughout the realm.
The Dunedain will forever be our friends for all they have given us, unlike the rest of the world they gave us a chance they allied with us in our time of need... they gave us hope, and thus we shall give them land, whenever their borders are threatened let it be known that the Bor-Uruks will be there to lend their aid.
I only wish the rest of the world would give us the same chance, they see us, and they think us evil, they see our war with Angmar, and they see betrayal... they lump us in with the shadow without a second thought, even the shadow thinks us traitors, and thusly we have to prove ourselves trustworthy... I only fear that in our attempts to prove our nature, they will scream traitor when Bor-Uruk strikes down orc. There might not be any merit in trying. Still, I WILL bring my people a realm there own, a realm where they won't have to go hungry or fear death by an angry neighbour, we will settle our ancestral grudges, we will subjugate our lesser kin, and we will find a people we can fight and raid on and off throughout the centuries. We will have a Bor-Uruks peace.
