This Gigantic Robot Kills is the 2009 release from the original Post Punk laptop rapper. To complete TGRK , MC Lars called on Weird Al, members of Wheatus, Simple Plan, Suburban Legends, The Aquabats, Cobra Starship, The Donnas, Parry Gripp, Paul Gilbert, his tour mates MC Frontalot and YT Cracker and others. MC Lars has toured extensively creating a solid fanbase the old fashioned way, with a great live show. Many songs from This Giant Robot Kills have been road tested and are already fan favorites!
MC Lars has been creating DIY post-punk laptop rap for the past decade. He has been called a "nerdcore" artist by the press, but doesn't shy away from this term these days. Using social media and crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter (props to the fans who have funded this current album), Lars has been able to build an audience without a record label and tour the world, opening for artists like Snoop Dogg, Nas and T-Pain.
