Today we caught these 'builders' repairing a gate. They started off adding way too much wood to the right post (with a couple of spacers). They did not add a top - allowing water between the posts. You may also notice the gate is screwed to untreated timber - so likely to rot later.

After that, the left post looked very wobbly. So instead of re-doing it, they simply screwed it to the fence panel. He goes to say 'its no-body's business' (as shown in the video).

Screwing 4" screws into fence panels is never a good idea. The panels are supposed to be replaceable should they need it. I am very surprised that the wood didnt split. Great job... not..
