169McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Azrael Batman Armor (Az-Bat) Knightfall Gold Label Walmart Exclusive Review. This action figure is a new sculpt of the character from the Batman comic books, with inspiration taken from the Knightfall storyline. Some liberties have been taken in the toy's design, and that begins with the gauntlets that feature no silver paint apps and little design elements across them that are slightly different from what we see in the source material, but otherwise this sculpt is quite accurate. The colors choice for his costume are nice, with complementary gold for his chest and shoulder armor and yellow ochre for his leg pouches and utility belt against a middle blue used for his helmet/cowl, cape, and gloves. The grey of his lower body is light enough in value that it doesn't clash with the belt and it also works well with the beige accent on his lower torso. The articulation is very good, though I had to soak him in warm water for a few minutes to loosen the joints because one of the shoulders was stuck. That said, he has a lot of range in his shoulder movements, the head can move very far in every direction, and the torso rocker offers enough range that he decently bends forward but also very easily turns side to side. The wrists are somewhat limited because of the design of the gauntlets, which extend over to the hand, so the joint has to be moved so that it doesn't clash, but ultimately it still works well. The most unique piece of articulation are the ankles, which behave somewhat like the typical ball joints they use, but now it's in the shape of the leg, which makes movements a little stiffer than they used to be. Textures are present on this figure in abundance, with many threads sculpted into his costume, a metal and leather appearance on his armor and belt, and smoothness on his cape and helmet. The quality is very good, and I recommend picking him up if you can find him for a decent price or at a Walmart store. No acccessories are included with Azrael Batman Armor, which is too bad because it would've been nice to have some batarangs or a grappling hook for this version of the character. Also, he pairs well with the Bane megafig/mega figure also released in 2022. This toy is now available at Walmart stores, possibly at a discount and more likely in the brick and mortar store. Is this worth buying? Is this worth the price? At $19.99 it's a well-detailed figure that isn't absolutely perfect, but is worth the price.
