MCIHAD - Frisky Tom: Heuristically Untenable
6Wherein we heuristically piece together to ins and outs of Frisky Tom, a shockingly un-pornographic puzzle game about fixing pipes and swatting away Kamikaze mice. It’s a surprisingly frantic balancing act as one retrieves errant couplings, reconnects leaking pipes under a strict time limit, battles mice, avoids dire mice, and defuses a bomb lit my mice. Logic is really put through the wringer with this one, but it nets itself a keen place in the MCIHAD archives as the most broken game hitherto chronicled on our fine program!
The inspiration seems to be based in the old adult entertainment staple of having a film start off with a man wearing very an unbuttoned shirt and far too short shorts and asking his patron, "I heard you have some pipes that need to be checked out." At least that's what I can gather from the official game art and the name.

Frisky Tom is a 1981 arcade game by Nichibutsu. The object of the game is to provide enough water for a shower by crawling along a network of plumbing pipes and picking up/replacing loose pieces. Various types of mice are the game's antagonists, trying to thwart Tom in different ways: knocking pipes loose to disrupt the water flow, jumping down to fall on him, or setting a bomb to blow up the entire plumbing arrangement. A version for the Atari 5200 was programmed in 1983, but was never published.[1] It was, however, released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1995 and the PlayStation in 2002. A Bandai Electronics VFD hand held game of Frisky Tom was released in 1982.
