MCU Villains Who Had BAD Plans

It all starts with a plan. A nefarious plan. A plan that’s up to no good. Then adopt a theme, maybe get a cool costume, write up a good bad guy speech and soon enough we’ve got a super villain. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has managed to fill up with villains big and small all with big plans that were thwarted by the superheroes. Some of these plans, however, had flaws long before the superhero managed to get involved. Would Thanos’ snap really have led to the prosperity that he was hoping for? Did questionable alliances like Ronan the Accuser or Loki the God of Mischief turn out to be worth the risk? Was ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ principle really work out for Justin Hammer when he hired Ivan Vanko, Whiplash, to get the edge on Tony Stark? Did the Hand need to resort to overt villainy when most of their problems could have been solved by a realtor and a contractor? Was the best way for Ultron to get rid of humans really by using a city as a pog? Did Hydra really have no one else to send to beat Captain America than his oldest friend and only guy who could break their programming? Sometimes those big plans of supervillains and schemers isn’t the best of ideas. But as long as they’re good at the other parts we might not really care. So even if some of the plans were bad, they’re still our favorite villains. Let’s take a look at some ill conceived plans in the MCU.
