Me attempting to voice EG Daily-voiced Hinoka
4So believe it or not, I actually had a knack for sounding like her as well as Selkie from Fire Emblem Fates when I was little. But that only happened whenever I got sick during tree pollen season in the spring (as I am allergic to tree pollen, it seems), as it caused me to get a really sore throat and a very stuffy nose, making my voice almost, if not exactly, sound just like Hinoka and Selkie.
I mean no disrespect to the new VAs for Hinoka and Selkie, the latter of who I don’t even know her name and the former being Cindy Robinson (who nowadays actually does a decent job of doing Hinoka and Peri, another one of EG Daily’s former roles in Fire Emblem Fates that I didn’t know Cindy also replaced her for until today, oop), but I feel like Daily did an overall better job of voicing the characters she was given, especially for Selkie because as much as I absolutely love Selkie, the new VA for her sounds… a bit forced, like she’s trying way too hard to bring that energy. Maybe I’ll dig up an old video of me trying to sound like Selkie while sick from a long time ago, but I hope you guys enjoy this slightly cringe last minute video of me trying to sound like EG Daily here
